Eat Ham?
I bought this stamp at Hobby Lobby couple of days ago. I think its perfect for those Thanksgiving cards. I wanted to get some ink on this stamp and thought I would show you how I colored him. I started out with using black ink then embossed the image with my heat gun. I then used copic markers starting with my lightest colors and advancing to the darker colors. Thanks for stopping by.

Under the Tree Christmas Holiday Handmade Card
This is a very bright and colorful Under the Tree Christmas Handmade Card. This one was alot of fun, the paper is so pretty just alone, I hated to cover it up. This is also from the DCWV christmas stack. I have handstamped/embossed the saying onto white cardstock and then distressed with pink and red. I then added snow tex along the sides and added snow tex to the top of the card as well for a little snow. The saying reads "Goods for Delivery on or By December 25 to be stored under the tree". I also embossed this saying. Ribbon/bow added as well as prima flowers and rhinestones. I added a snowflake brad to the red flower.
You can not see from the picture but the paper is glittered.
On the inside of the card I stamped a cute image. I colored with copic makers.

Hero Arts ~ Bird ~ Merry Christmas Handmade Card
I think this paper from DCVW is just so pretty. The birds have thick glitter on them which makes this paper just shine. I just love the colors as well. So, I created this Merry Christmas card this evening. I was browsing thru my stamps and found this bird stamp from Hero Arts. I though oh this almost matches the paper perfectly.
To create this card I used dark red and light pink cardstocks, border punch, pink ribbon, red inks. On the inside of the card I have added a little tag in which again I handstamped/embossed Merry Christmas and added ribbon. I distressed along the bird image in pink and red inks. Nestabilities dies also used.

Dixie Cornbread
I have to tell you that I love to cook and cook southern foods. I was taught by both of my grandmas and treasure their recipes. I came across this blog called Southern Plate and could not believe how her recipes are so similiar to mine and they types of foods as well. I found this recipe for Dixie Cornbread and I had to try it. This receipe is so similar to my grandmas, and tastes exactly like hers. If you like cornbread you will love this recipe and its so easy. I even keep bacon grease on hand in a bowl as both of my grandmas as well. As my grandparents would sit down later in the evening with any left over cornbread and add to a tall glass and then pour milk or buttermilk over and would have as a snack.Visit Southern Plate here.
I may even post some of my family receipes. Do you have receipes as no-bake cookies or chocolate gravy? My grandma would prepare chocolate gravy and make homemade biscuits and serve the gravy of the biscuits. So good!! If you are a chocolate lover you would love this, even if you dont have the biscuits lol.
Here is a picture of my cornbread that I fixed this evening, right from the oven.
